  19. DOn't know what YOU think about FlashROM's, But when USR has a FlashROM in
  20. there Courier Modems, Like the one I have, I've Updated it with New Code like
  21. 4-5 times now!  Going from getting things I didn't have before like V.34, then
  22. V.34+, With Other Improvments with LAPM, etc, to the Latest Distintive Ring
  23. and CallerID Support!!!  All FREE.  Update my own Modem quite EASY in no time
  24. flat, as soon as I grab a copy of the Latest code from somplace.

  26. There's also other things like 800 Number support, More Features.  Your NOT
  27. getting ripped off.  I bought my Modem with it was only a 16.8K HST 14.4k
  28. V.32bis modem, as the sysop price with Tax and Shipping around $550.  Plus 2
  29. Daughterboards, the second one having the FlashRam, which is around another
  30. $300 for those 2 boards.  That's $750 for my Modem which you can buy for a
  31. WHOLE LOT CHEAPER that does the same thing mine does now.  People think the
  32. Price of a new one now is HIGH, Hell I think it's CHEAP!

  34. Best of all, USR Couriers are Upgradable, and when that's no longer Posible,
  35. you can Trade them in for a NEW Modem.  You can't do that with a Sportster.
  36. I know all about USR's Crappy Service.  Slow to Answer your Phone Call. Slow
  37. to Fix a Modem, Slow to get Upgrade Chips/Daughtercards sent to ya.  With
  38. Couriers, at least phone calls are FREE, There's NO Waiting months to Upgrade
  39. your modem as you can do it whenever you download the latest code.  Hell they
  40. LOOK a whole lot better then them Sportsters do!

  42. FlashROM's are Great in Modem's that also updates the DSP also!  Which USR's
  43. Modem's DO, Unlike other FlashROM Modems out there like Supra's where you can
  44. only get Bug Fixes, not UPGRADEING the modem also!
